Free TV Selects Redge Media to Power its TV Streaming platform.
Free TV, the OTT venture of Keshet RGE – one of Israel's largest media companies – has chosen Redge Media as an end-to-end OTT solution in a global tender.
Free TV, a joined venture of Keshet media group and RGE group, is a new Israeli telecom operator which plans to bring to the Israeli market a cutting-edge Streaming TV and Fiber based internet services offered independently or as a premium bundle.
Free TV is expected to be launched by end of 2022 and offer the next generation of OTT based TV platform in Israel. MENA is the next region after CEE where Redge Media deploys its presence.
Keshet is the leading content & media group in Israel, providing top-rated, groundbreaking content throughout existing and emerging media platforms. Free TV’s worldwide RFP process has set a very high standards to the market targeting to provide Israeli users with a premium TV service based on high end technology and state of the art user interface.
Free TV has selected Redge Media as the new platform providing a complete ecosystem of Front end, Back end and video processing. This partnership will lead to deploy the largest streaming platform in the MENA region.
Redge Media is a complete video streaming platform dedicated for broadcasters and telcos to extend their audience. It consists of Service Delivery Platform and Video Delivery Platform providing experience excellence for TV broadcasters wanting to enable their audience access to superior VOD and video streaming services. The Redge Media SDP consists of DAM (digital asset management), CMS (content management system) and applications for a wide range of end platforms – Connected TVs, game consoles and mobile devices. Redge Media VDP comprises transcoding, origin, Multi-DRM and CDN distribution of multimedia content.
