Redge Technologies and RKKVC partner up to strengthen European deep-tech startups
Redge will act as a technological analyst and auditor for projects that could revolutionize online video, edge computing, 5G and cybersecurity.
Streaming and edge computing leader Redge Technologies and Polish private venture capital fund RKKVC have come together to establish a joint cooperation to fund and develop aspiring deep-tech projects through smart money. With strength in expertise and capital Poland’s IT market is becoming even more inclusive for promising entrepreneurs and engineers.
Redge Technologies, with its rich experience in commercialization of technology, will act as a technological analyst and auditor for projects that could revolutionize online video, edge computing, 5G and cybersecurity markets. Moreover, it already has a well-established base of native technology projects, allowing it to be a highly respectable partner for any IT venture. RKKVC is a fund established in mid-2020. By maintaining the high dynamics of the management team, it has made many investments, incl. in Switzerland, Great Britain, USA and Poland. Investments are selected by the fund on the basis of a number of factors. First of all, the team and the sector in which the company operates is important – software with the data science gene and the markets in which the company is present are preferred.
– Supporting and nurturing talent is a big responsibility. That is why we are taking this task very seriously. Ideas and inspiration for ground-breaking technology are not of a common sort, and yet when they happen, it is vital for them to be supported and guided with an experienced partner. As Redge Technologies, we wish to open the opportunity for any promising technology, whether it be big or small, to have the chance to be analyzed, verified and guided towards stardom. For us, technology is an essential part of improving business operations and I believe that with RKKVC as our partner, we will be the co-author of many wonderful business ventures – states Przemysław Frasunek, board member of Redge Technologies.
The Polish and European market of venture capital funds is rapidly growing, as is the number of companies looking for financing. The key is to have the ability to spot which solution can actually be revolutionary and at the same time technologically achievable. The partnership with Redge Technologies fits perfectly into the RKKVC strategy, where together we will be able to evaluate and verify the most innovative technologies that are currently available on the market. As an investment team, we are also intensely involved in supporting portfolio companies. Thanks to this partnership, we will be able to offer additional support with the best on the market. I believe that the exchange of experiences and knowledge will bring many benefits for both parties – states Mateusz Bodio, Managing Director of RKKVC.
The two companies have already provided significant financial and business support to promising startups, with Vestigit and their software for tracking illegal distribution of video materials as a prime example. Vestigit technology uses an algorithm for embedding and extracting a watermark based on a means of edge computing and artificial intelligence, in particular – Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), which is an innovation on the global scale; similar technological projects are on the radar for both Redge and RKKVC. The joint cooperation of the partners will strengthen the already strong position of Poland’s IT community in the international aspect.
